"Narnia? What's that?"

"My dear girl, you're in it!"

Y'all, it's southern-blizzarding outside, and there's this lamppost that's right off the corner of my porch, and I swear I'm just ready for Mr. Tumnus to walk up and say hey.  Especially if he's still James McAvoy.

It looks beautiful out there!  I have already been out on my porch twice just to sit and stare all wrapped up in a blanket, freezing to death but happier than I have been in a long time.  I don't know what it is about nature's beauty, but it nudges me near nirvana every time I'm in the midst of it.

These snowflakes are bigger than I've ever seen.  They kind of amble down on the breeze, tilting and twirling and taking their time getting to the ground.  I've seen some that are bigger than golf balls --flat ones, of course -- and they just laze their spread-eagled selves through the sky until they land on something and burst into all the tiny crystals that constructed them.  It's so fun to watch.  I'm considering making myself some hot chocolate (I've already had three cups of decaf coffee and half a glass of milk) and heading out there again.  Only, I can't hear my music when I'm out there, and I'm certainly not going to keep the door cracked and let all my heat out.

Oh my, I don't know what to do.  I'd wanted to be productive today, but I just don't know that I can handle productivity right now.  Perhaps I'll make some lentil stew (thank goodness I got ingredients for it yesterday!) and maybe a bit of spiced tapioca.  Or maybe I'll make tacos instead -- except that I forgot to get lettuce and cheddar at the store, and I don't know that I can bear tacos without either of those.  Sad.  Lentil stew it is.  OR CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS.  If I have the ingredients.  We'll see.

I really enjoyed all the alliteration in that piece! So, did you make lentils or CnD? Guess I'll have to catch up on fb to find out!
