You should try online shopping.

Lots of people aren't comfortable with online shopping, and I really don't know why.  Maybe it's because they can't try things on.  But come on now, I'm not a trier-onner anyway, and I've made it work.  Lots of places help you out when it comes to shipping returns, and the key is to get all kinds of coupons and free shipping anyway so you save any money for when you might need to return something.

Here's the deal -- online shopping is genius.  If you're like me and you're always tired, or if going out and shopping is too dangerous (that's me, too), or if you don't like carrying your hundreds of dollars-worth of merchandise up your stairs (aaand also me), or if you simply are lazy (duh), then this is totally the shopping method for you.  It allows you to stay where you are while being both a deal-hound and comparison shopper, but still letting you go a little bit crazy.  You can also utilize the "wishlist" feature on websites, or if that doesn't work, just use the shopping cart.  It's great for when you find something you love, but you think it's too expensive.  Just pop that baby in the cart, make sure you've signed in, and the site will save it for later!  And if you're like me and you online shop all the time, then all you have to do is check your shopping cart/wishlist periodically to see if the price has gone down.  Nice!!

It's also a good idea to search online for coupon codes.  All you have to do is go to Google or another search engine and type in "coupon codes [insert retailer here]" and a bunch of sites will pop up.  Another option is to go to specific sites like RetailMeNot.com and CouponCabin.com and search within the sites for codes.  Lots of the time you can find codes that were sent to other people through email...but you aren't the one getting the annoying emails every day.  Let everybody else do that.  Or you can be like me again, and you can sign up for the emails in order to find out what you need before you know you need it.  That's always a successful money-saver.

So, friends, try it.  It's okay to buy without trying on.  Check the return policy first, but then ORDER SOMETHING.  It's liberating, believe me.  Take it from a highly liberated individual.
