things i prayed for

That used to be one of my favorite songs way back in like 1996 or something.  Here, I'll let you listen to it.

Anyway, this post is less about specific things I've prayed for and more about answers to the many prayers of, "Lord Jesus, help me, for I have no idea what I'm doing in this life," that I've prayed over the years.  I'm so immensely thankful for all the blessings He's gifted to me despite my stubborn rebellion and outright stupidity.  Here comes a list!

1.  I'm thankful for many dear friends.  I'm not a small close circle kind of girl.  I'm a big close circle kind of girl.  I happen to be the happy keeper of a multitude of close friendships with people of different ages, from teens to boomers.  Though I can imagine my life without them (what a dumb statement to say you can't), I don't particularly care to do so.  They make my experiences rich and my existence meaningful, and I love them with every curve of my thrumming heart.
2.  I'm thankful for sweet, supportive, loving family.  I'm not good at telling others what they mean to me, nor am I good at making myself vulnerable enough to let people know I need them.  I need my family, though.  They support me throughout and despite all my complaining, and they give me constructive criticism without judgement.  And even though they know I'll do what I want no matter what, they give me the freedom to be that way.  I personally think that's the best way for family to be.

Wow, well I lost my inspiration pretty fast.  I think it's because I'm hungry and sleepy.  At least I got out the two biggest things before becoming a writing wuss-face.

Plus, didn't I do one of these a few months ago?  I suppose it's always a good thing to honor those who mean so much, but I would hate to bore you, my loyal fans....
