Sure, I can accept that we're going nowhere...

...especially when I spend a few hours updating my blog (thank you, Paolo Nutini, for the fantastic referenced song).  I'm still getting used to working on a Mac, so I'm doing things without using shortcuts that I know have to be there.  For instance, trying to convert a text file into a jpg.  I made it into a pdf, then a jpg, then looked at it in iPhoto...then had to do my tweaking back in the original weirdo text file, including teaching myself how to add custom colors.  Oh my gosh, was it ever tedious.  I hope it's worth it, though!

If anything, it's worth it that I got distracted enough not to work on my verb presentation for tomorrow.  That might not sound like it's worth it; let me explain.  I need to finish this presentation, but I've got enough to at least finish action verbs and start on helping verbs.  Well, I noticed today that some of my kids were having trouble distinguishing between nouns, verbs and adjectives ("Can you 'mean'?  If it doesn't work to put 'I can...' in front of it, then it's probably not a verb.  I can mean.  I can bad.  I can shoe.  Do those make sense?  So are those verbs?"). Oh my.  So, not finishing my presentation made me realize that I have nothing planned for tomorrow.  Which made me realize that I need to practice action verbs with them instead of moving on.  Which made me realize that they actually need more instruction on action verbs.  Which made me realize that all that's standing between me and bedtime...is this blog.  And so I started writing.

I hope you like the new design.  If there are any viewing issues on your computer, please let me know.  That way, I can spend a few more hours trying to figure it out and getting frustrated with my foreign operating system.  Oh joy.  :)

Off to bed.  Oh joy (for real this time)!  :-D

so I didn't know your blog was no longer tied to buzz and suddenly I was in Google reader and found 5 posts from you.

you know that if you have any Mac questions you can ask me. I might live too far away for you to hang out with on weeknights, but I do have a phone.
