I can't make this one too long ere I be late for work, but we all know how that usually ends.
We've got a teacher workday today. I need to get a good amount of grades done, but let me just tell you, I'm way more prepared than I was pretty much every single grading period last year. I usually am frantically trying to figure out how I'm going to account for six vocab assignments without actually having to sit and grade all of them (that would be over 700 papers, you know...), and hoping that what I have will be somewhat accurate and at least substantial enough to give me ground to stand on when anyone questions me.
This year, I still have vocab to grade. I still have warm-ups galore to enter into the gradebook. BUT I have other grades that are already in there that will do just fine along with whatever I get put in today. It's kind of a nice feeling, you know? Just being able to do my work without getting physically sick at the deadline?
