I am sorry I haven't been posting on here nearly as regularly as the rate to which you may have grown accustomed. The first grading period is over tomorrow, so I've been trying to get that stuff together, plus we're gearing up for our first Forensics (public speaking) tournament, which we're hosting in six days, and I've been working hard trying to catch up on my online professional development course, as well. It's been a busy month. I'm still behind on professional development - almost two weeks behind, now - and I have all kinds of grades to do by Friday at midnight. I'm hoping that after another week, maybe two, I can be all caught up on my life. Then it'll be time to catch you up on my life, too.
Until then, sit tight, friends. And I'll try to hurry. Because I know that if I read my blog (which...I guess I do), then I'd be checking it, like, DAILY for updates. And I'd be disappointed daily.
So again, mi dispiace, i miei amici, and I'll work on getting my life in order for your sake. Let's be honest, we all know that my life wouldn't ever get in order if it weren't for the occasional [positive or negative] interference from others.
By the way, may I just tell you that in my 7th period class today, we talked about the following: Chaucer, the history of the English language, translations of Middle English into Modern English, hermaphroditism, the etymology of "hermaphrodite", research on gender confusion in the hermaphroditic population, conjoined twins, and the biology of identical and conjoined twins.
All of the tangents were my fault, all of them were short, all of them were school-appropriate, and all of them were related to grammar. We still had time for them to do their newspaper grammar activity. We had time at the end for me to recite and translate the opening four lines of Canterbury Tales, as well. I promised them I would do it if they worked well today, which they did, so it was their reward.
Need I say that they thought I was awesome?
