From a teacher...

...to whomever you may be.  This article was written by the love of my life, Ron Clark, the man about whom one of my favorite movies was made.  He's a former teacher and the founder of a model school that, aside from educating children every day, teaches teachers how to grow in their profession.

The article centers around parent behaviors and attitudes that make teachers' jobs difficult.  As one who, in only two years and eight days of having my own classroom, has already experienced much of what Clark cites, I offer this as an advice column of sorts to all you parents (or grandparents, guardians, friends, citizens) out there.

Please consider what he says.  Again, find the text of the article here, and if you have thoughts/epiphanies/agreements/dissensions, I'd love to hear them!

**By the way, did you notice the statistic about how long the average new teacher stays in the profession?!  Wow!  That was my epiphany, for sure!!**

The question is...will we be above or below that average?

I hope above. You guys should consider going to Atlanta in February! Don't give me excuses. Where there's a will, there's a way. So, what say you???
